this is for me one of the best illustrations of what the adventist mecca is all about... almost more churches than people in this tiny city, all kinds of churches available in all languages and styles... there are so many that they get advertisement leftovers...

este é um dos momentos em que eu tenho que publicamente agradecer a provisão da camara municipal. eu lembro-me de estar a conduzir, ver o rio e a vegetação à minha frente e pensar... "sigo em frente ou vou estacionar ali atrás onde estavam os outros carros?" e embora tivesse o impeto natural de continuar a conduzir, lá estava o providente sinal a dizer-me que não, que de facto a estrada acaba ali e que eu não devia atropelar as pobres plantas para chegar à agua. o meu muito obrigado!
this is the moment when I have to publicly thank the city hall's provision. I remember driving down the road, seeing the river and the plants and thinking... "should I keep driving or go park back there where all the other cars were?" and even though I wanted to keep driving, there it was, the miraculous sign telling me that no, no the road actually stops there, I should not attempt to run over the poor plants to get a closer look at the water. thank you!
Tenho que dizer que neste parque, embora a temperatura continuasse excessivamente baixa, as demonstrações públicas de afecto são uma situação que ocorre com certa frequência, neste caso um par de insectos embora já tenha visto um par de joaninhas e um par de esquilos numa situação similar.
I have to refer that in this park, even though temperatures are still quite low, there are several shows affection public. in this case we can see a bug pair, but I have seen also a pair of ladybugs as well as a pair of squirls.

isto foi ontem à saida do supermercado. encontrei este sujeito e ele ficou contente que eu lhe pedisse para tirar uma foto, além do mais, ofereceu-se para ser meu modelo vestindo os seus muitos disfarces (galinha, duende...); ele usa os disfarces para fazer publicidade a um restaurante onde trabalha.
yesterday, leaving the supermarket, i found this nice guy, he seem to be happy about the fact I had asked him to take his picture; he even offered to be photographed wearing the many costumes we wears for work (he works in the street advertising for a restaurant)
